WBCM
Construction Services Hits the Ground Running
Just
as the new Director of Construction Services,
Lyle Aaby, begins to get oriented at WBCM, hurricane
Isabelle created our first project at the World
Trade Center- Baltimore.
Isabelle
created a record-breaking storm surge at the
Inner Harbor and flooded the basement at the
World Trade Center in Baltimore. The building’s
main electrical and mechanical systems were
devastated in the flood, causing the total shutdown
of the building.
Our
Construction Services Division was given the
task to restore the damaged building for tenants
within 30 days and then complete repairs to
the entire basement area. The Baltimore Business
Journal said they had credible sources telling
them the building would not be ready for re-occupancy
for about 6 months.
Our
team of construction contractors under the direction
and coordination of WBCM took the challenge
seriously and successfully completed all systems
for the tenants to return to their landmark
office space in 29 days!
