Duties:     

The following duties are typical of the position, but are not all-encompassing.  Each person is expected to help out in whatever duties are required to deliver a quality product on schedule. 

 Work with National and Local Building Codes, oversee the development of loads.

• Oversee floor, roof framing and foundation design/analysis.
• Develop/supervise the preparation of contract documents.
• Oversee modeling/analysis/design of lateral systems.
• Perform and/or oversee evaluation studies and develop reports.
• Preparation of specifications/project manuals.
• Oversee field work during schematic and construction document phases.
• Monitor project budgets and schedules.
• Develop proposals and contracts.
• Oversee submittal review process, including structural steel fabrication drawings, concrete reinforcement drawings and concrete mix designs.
• Attend leadership seminars.
• Attend meetings during all phases of design and construction document preparation.
• Attend meetings through construction of projects.
• Assist in the development of Designers, Structural Engineers, and Project Engineers.

Experience:         

10 Years, Professional Engineering Registration (P.E.) Required

Skills:

Experience in MS-Office, AutoCAD, Structural Analysis programs such as RAM, STAADPRO, ADAPT, Enercalc, PCA programs, and LPile.

Education:        

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Structural Emphasis) or Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering (Structural Option)

Working Conditions:   

Majority of work conducted in the office.  Occasionally will be required to perform/oversee field evaluations.  Overtime varies as required (+/- 10 Hours/Week).

Reports to:  Office Manager

Salary Range:  $65,000 - $80,000 Commensurate with experience

Salary Type:  Exempt/Salary II (1.0 Overtime)
